There Will Be Light is the first documentary in Taiwan to focus on a site recognized for its significance to transitional justice. Centering on Gikong Presbyterian Church, the first citizen-nominated site officially designated by the Ministry of Culture, the film revisits one of the darkest chapters of Taiwan’s authoritarian era—the 1980 Lin Family Massacre.
